Windows Server 2003 Support has ended
Windows Server 2003 support ended on July 14th, 2015 and Microsoft no longer issues security updates for any version of Windows Server 2003. This means no new patches, software updates or phone support. On top of that, there are serious risks to protection, compliance and data.
Running an out of support operating system can impact applications and the ability to support applications could be at risk. If they choose not to migrate, machines won’t suddenly stop working but all technical assistance will stop, as will the automatic updates which have helped to protect servers from virtual attacks.
Windows Server 2003 is estimated to be used by 44% of SMB Windows Server customers. That is a huge customer base who may not understand what they need to do to ensure their servers stay profitable, secure and up to date.
